Barbara Piano, attorney-at-law (1968, Ljubljana), graduated from Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana (1993). She started her professional career (1993) in the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia. After having passed the examination for state administration employees (1994), she worked in the Office of the Prime Minister as an assistant, advisor, and advisor to the Government Secretary-General. After the passed state bar examination (1996), she held the position of Under-Secretary of State Head of the Office of the Government Secretary-General. For a short period, she served as Under-Secretary of State Head of the Minister's Office at the Ministry of the Interior, and then she returned to the Office of the Prime Minister where she concluded her professional career in the state administration as Under-Secretary of State Advisor to the Prime Minister.
Since 1 January 2004, she has been working in the Law Office Metka Arah, D.Sc., attorney-at-law. During her employment in the state administration, she worked also as an examiner for the general part of the state examination for civil servants and as an examiner for the General Administrative Procedure Act. She upgraded her professional expertise also abroad. She actively uses the English and Serbian language at her work.
She mainly specializes in administrative and civil commercial law.
